Cynicism Can Suck It: Take That, Cheerleaders

I once had a run in with a cheerleader in jasper, Indiana that left me a little shifty around girls who can do backflips randomly in hallways even when photographers are standing right behind them. But middle school cheerleaders are a different sort. Exuberant, excited and pretty cute. It's going to be a good year.

The Long Wait

It's been so long since I've been blogging. The last few weeks on December were spent in a mad dash to finish the interactive for the "While You Were Gone Series," and between that and the multimedia for Chelsea's baby, Christmas and New Year's flew by, and then I was deeply ensconced in a much needed vacation. The year was remarkable. Remember Elizabeth Speigle, who waited to adopt a baby and was turned down? Well, she got her baby, and her husband came home for R & R to meet his son, the most adorable little boy, Joshua. Theirs was one of the final stories in the While You Were Gone series and it was a true joy to see this couple together with the baby they'd waiting for for so long. Stay tuned this week-- I'll take a look back at 2010 and a look forward into 2010 in an attempt to bring back the ritual of blogging once again.
