Love, Tomatoes


I spent my weekend making up for a failed tomato crop by roasting all kinds of tomatoes from the farmer's market. Then, I got a call from Matt & Melissa Eich to come over and bake pizza. Perfect together . . . roasted tomatoes and fresh pesto from the garden and pizza.

Starting





Sometimes the most difficult hurdle to overcome is the one at the beginning. The concern over whether the project is a good one, if you're any good as a photographer, if it makes sense. I'm starting something right now, and this is it.

Cynicism Can Suck It: Puppy!




Rashad Ballard has the constant companionship of his service dog, Grisham, a two year-old golden retriever who joined the family in January. Try not to smile when you imagine how sweet it is to get puppy kisses. And from a dog who does such a great job, day in and day out, for his owner. Who allows this young man a greater degree of independence. There are sometimes these moments, where life feels tough and joyful, all at once.
