A Day's Work

One day. Twelve hours. Three assignments. Three cups of coffee. One sandwich. One shower. Two changes of clothes. One tank of gas. One album on repeat in the truck. Being a newspaper photographer is remarkable-- the requirement to make something out of nothing, over and over again. When it works, it's thrilling. When it doesn't, it breaks your heart. Today, it worked. Tomorrow starts in six hours.
