Even though you might think they have "low content", I think the top two actually resonate pretty strongly. The shallow focus almost does a tilt-shift thing to these images making the rows of soldiers look miniature, like plastic army men. And, obviously, that sensation of falseness/artificiality/sameness has weighty consequences when looking at war time images.

2. i just watched the voter slideshow on the missourian website...i don't know what role you played in it but the whole thing is sweet so good job.
3. i just found a hair on my head that is WAY longer than any of its fellow hairs, and i am completely enthralled by it right now.
i love the first shot... but of course, i'm graphically biased...
